# Youth Impacts > Youth Impacts is an international leadership-training organisation that runs Model United Nations (MUN) convocations for high school and university students. Our flagship event, **YIMUN New York 2026**, takes place 13–16 August 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Newark Airport and the United Nations Headquarters in the New York metropolitan area. We exist to train the next generation of global leaders — not to host another conference. Our philosophy is **quality over quantity**: small cohorts, a single committee (the United Nations General Assembly), real mentorship, and meaningful speaking time for every delegate. ## Key facts - **Event:** YIMUN New York 2026 - **Dates:** 13 — 16 August 2026 - **Venues:** Crowne Plaza Newark Airport · United Nations Headquarters · New York City - **Committee:** United Nations General Assembly (single committee, plenary format) - **Tracks:** High school and university (judged separately) - **Awards:** Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honourable Mention, Best Position Paper — for each track - **Topic release:** June 2026 - **Contact:** info@youthimpacts.com - **Application:** https://youthimpacts.com/apply.html ## Five training pillars 1.
